Lapsang souchong (often shortened to simply "lapsang") is a distinctive, smoke-flavored, very dark tea from Fujian province in China. This tea’s unique smoky flavor and aroma is achieved through drying the tea leaves over pine log fires. Lapsang or Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong is known to be an acquired taste in much the same way that Scotch or cigars are. Historically it was considered a "man's tea", but has become increasingly popular with women in recent years. Creative tea drinkers are even applying this tea to their cooking.

Jasmine tea is one of the most pleasant tasting green teas available on the market. It is a green tea with amazing texture and a captivating floral taste that is not found in any other natural tea. Its floral bouquet literally causes your senses to come alive with pleasant thoughts.

The flavor is enhanced with the addition of jasmine blossoms which give the tea a visual appeal that is unique even amongst Chinese teas. Traditionally jasmine blossoms were used to “smoke” fine green tea a couple of times for the scent of the jasmine to be absorbed by the tea. Shou Mei, “Longevity Eyebrow”,is a White Tea that is produced from naturally withered upper leaf and tips. It is mostly grown in the Fujian Province of China. Because it is plucked later than White Peony (Bai Mu Dan), the tea may be darker in color, but it should still have a proportionate green color. The liquor is yellowish green in color with nutty and floral taste.

Brewing: 1 T, 200 degrees, 3 minutes, 2 infusions.
